Lily is a Great Dane that has been blind since a bizarre medical condition required that she have both eyes removed. For the last 5 years, Maddison, another Great Dane, has been her sight. The two are, of course, inseparable.

I am so excited for this Cystic Fibrosis Walk/Fundraiser!

I walked last year in Oneonta and I was proud of how much I raised and how much the walk raised, but I wish there had been more walkers and more money raised total.  This year, I decided to do things a little differently.

  • I have contacted each residence hall (15) on campus and each hall will form teams of at least ten members and do their own fundraising.
  • As part of both NRHH and RSO, I will be on a joint e-board team to raise money.
  • We will be contacting local businesses and asking for their support!
  • We will be tabling and selling “pinwheels” to hang in windows - sort of like what they do in supermarkets when they are raising money for a cause.
  • We will be raising money at the RSO BBQ as well.

This is only the beginning!  The walk is a month away!  I am so excited for this and I hope that it is as successful as I am trying to make it!  If anyone is interested in donating, let me know! :) ?

Hi, My name is Jessica.

This is my mother Colleen. The picture on top is of three year’s ago. My mother use to be heavy. The doctors told her she was obese, so she went and had a gastric bypass surgery. My mother weighted 240 pounds and is 5’4 inches tall. She wasn’t the heathiest person, but she was loved anyway. She could make me laugh and she was there for me when she needed me. She is a mother of four and everyone loved her for her, not for her weight.

Three years later, and after the gastric bypass, a tummy tuck, two special stomach surgerys from where the thing that called a “stomach” they made had holes in it and a boob job later, my mother is now 91 pounds. She is getting infections all the time. She can hardly eat, because either she feels sick afterwards or she throws up. I really don’t know if my mom likes this, I don’t know if she thinks shes little enough now, or if shes pretty, but I know for sure this is not my mother.

This woman, is to little. This woman is sick. This woman spends half the time, sleeping, or stressing, or being sick, or in the hospital. Im lucky if I get afew hours or a day out of a week that is a good day for my mom.

I love my mom, and I’m just asking, please, please repost this. Please show my mom that she was fine before. Help me prove to her, that being this little isn’t good. Please you guys, help me get my mom back <3

3 weeks ago my dad was diagnosed with rectal cancer and today he will be having a long and difficult surgery to remove the tumor. He will be in the hospital for about a week if all goes well. I would like to ask my friends and followers on here to please pray that everything goes well. I believe the more prayers we can get the better. Thank you!!! ♥
